Auction Day and the Very Messy Day Before

Thank goodness for family! Meg came in from Hermann and left the girls with me. It rained 3 inches in Sturgeon on Thursday night and Friday morning. It was gross up there. Meg and Seth moved their first piece of furniture at 12:05 in the afternoon. Charles used the weedeater on the yard and then got Sam's truck out to the barn to start moving stuff. Chris and Travis came in from KC (a 2 1/2 hour drive) with 4 wheel drive truck and trailer. I got there at 6:00 with pizza and started mucking through the goo. The last load was unloaded from the trailer and we left at 9:42. There was an unbelievable amount of stuff in there. Charles, Seth and Ben got up at 5:00 Saturday morning and went back up to unload the stuff that was in the house. Mom and Dad got there about 7:00 and started scrubbing furniture.
For the Ford side of the family...this is a picture of Chris' Chevy, stuck in the mud. Meg is hooking up chains to her Ford to give him a tow. The Ford pulled the Chevy out of the muck!!!
The view from the driveway into the front yard.

Looking from the front yard down the driveway...

The top picture is of Jack Bodine in his truck getting the job done. There was a man named Green and one other there as well helping with the auction part. We didn't make nearly as much as we should have, but the stuff is gone and we did have a really good bonfire the next day!!
