Small Changes...big Difference

We put on the drawer and cabinet pulls. I have a bag full of drawer and cabinet pulls here in the house, but did not have 14 of any one that I really liked, so I went shopping. I found some that are hammered copper and a perfect match/tie in to the backsplash-when it gets finished.

Don't they look good??? The kid are still bending down to pull at the bottom of the cabinets to open them and we had to show Teddy what they were for, but I think we will all be used to the luxury soon... and by the way....don't they look good???

Alternate Heat Source

Five and Seven hundred dollar heating bills to keep the house at 62 or 66 are not going to work for us....so we started searching for alternate heat sources and this is what we found. This beauty was on Craig's List and came out of Linn Creek Missouri. We took the seats out of the van, loaded up the family (in the car) and had a road trip to go pick this beauty up. Isn't it pretty! It will hopefully be big enough to provide plenty of heat for the house and lessen the love/hate affair we are having right now with our Ameren bill...

Unfortunately, that means that what went up, must come down...

So, the bar area in the kitchen is no more...now it will make for a warm and cozy kitchen whose heat will fill the house...we hope!But, of course, this also means that the kitchen is a mess again with tools etc..blah! Think heat, think heat, think heat...and wish us luck with this one!
